Coorperation With Other Animal Welfare Organizations |

|
We have been in contact with RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) since our establishment in 1995, and have benefited greatly from their invaluable experiences in this field.
We are also inconstant touch with WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals). Officials from this organization (WSPA) have visited us in Bodrum and have inspected our shelter/clinic, as a result of which we were informed to be the most succesful organization in the Aegean area. These officials also paid a visit to the then Mayor of Bodrum, Mr. Tugrul Acar, and expressed their appreciation at the support being accorded by the municipality to our association. WSPA has also donated various kinds of apparatus and equipment to be used at our shelter/clinic for which we are truly greatful.
During the year 2000 Mr. Ian Winters from the Britain has visited us and neutered 35 animals, free of charge. Mr Winters had brought with himself all the necessary equipment and medications for these operations. On his departure he donated to us all that was not used.
We have also greatly benefited from donations made by The Manning Foundation, which is carrying out its operations in coordination with the THKD (Turkish Association for the Protection of Animals) with its headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey. We have received from the Manning Foundation all kinds of medical equipment, apparatus, medications, vaccines etc. We are grateful to them.
We are very pleased to be contacted by various organizations that are already established in Turkey and by those that are in the process of establishment. We sincerely believe in the advantage to be derived from exchange of views and experiences with them.
In January 2006 an application sent to RSPCA has been evaluated and Bodrum Animal Welafare Association has been excepted for consideration for a donation. In March 18th 2006, Mr.David Bowles from RSPCA has paid a visit to our association. After careful investigations at the Bodrum shelter with the chairperson Mrs. Füsun Uslu and other members of Bodrum Animal Welfare Association; in April we have been notified that our organization will be the recipient of a brand new blood analysis machine specifically made for animals, as a donation from RSPCA. Our thanks go to one of our founder members Mrs. Bahar Coupal for contacting RSPCA. |
